Looks like Karunakaran has not come out of his ‘Ulasamga Utsahamga’ hangover, he has deployed the same formula of childhood friends
as lovers even in ‘Darling’. The director has also tried to preach friendship in this movie effectively. He starts of with a narration saying friendship starts at any time of a person’s life. Saying that, he introduces a couple
of college friends who meet once in 5 or 10 years. The gang of friends comprising of veteran Tamil actor Prabhu, seasoned artists Chandra Mohan and Ahuthi Prasad, comedians Dharmavarappu and M.S. Narayana and a few others.

So whenever the friends meet up after a long time, they have a celebration. Their families bond with each other as well, giving the opportunity for Prabhu’s son Prabhas(also his name in the movie) to like Ahuthi Prasad’s daughter, Nandhini (Kajal). As growth and development happens, Vishwanath (Ahuthi Prasad) moves to Switzerland and Prabhu stays back in Hyderbad practicing law that means the young love birds are separated.

Meanwhile Prabhas grows up to be the handsome hunk we know. He is introduced in the usual clichéd way with a small fight and a song that starts of with hip-hop dance steps and would you believe it – middle of the road! That is supposedly a farewell party as he completes his college studies. That’s a weird farewell party! Dancing on top of buses and cars!

Well here’s a small twist, Shraddha Das as his junior in college is madly in love with Prabhas. But remember our hero’s in love with his lady who’s far away in Switzerland. The honest hero affirms he doesn’t love her and upon rejection Shraddha attempts to suicide. Here is introduced Mukesh Rishi as Shraddha’s father who is a wild villain but soft at heart. As his daughter has been rejected he tries to confront Prabhas, a guy with both muscle and brain. Mukesh Rishi kidnaps Prabhas’ friends in exchange for a meeting with him.

Story : Pappu (Krishnudu) is a chap, whose luck always turns good for others and it backfires him. Slowly with the age, his subconscious rules his mind towards pessimism, as a result he loses his self confidence. Meanwhile, Radha (Deepika), daughter of his boss, enters his life. He falls in love with her, but he hesitates to propose fearing he might lose her. Once Radha gets kidnapped and her father gets an advice from an astrologer that her luck is not so good, so to deal with the issue, her father should send an unlucky person for her safe arrival. Her father appoints Ram (Subbaraju) and Pappu to search and bring his daughter back to him. What happens next is the interesting part of the story.....its too comedy...

It is story based on Rayalaseema- we have seen factions so far from Rayalaseema and at the same time they give maximum respect to their guests in Rayalaseema..

The story runs like this--

Villain's son and Hero's (Sunil's father)) father dies in a faction fight in a village in Rayalaseema. This happened 30 years ago and the hero Ram (Sunil) who is brought up in city doesn't know this story how his father was died.

Sunil wants to sell the property owned by his father in the village and at the same time Villain will be waiting for the hero to come to his village so that he can kill him as soon as he enters the village.

Sunil reaches the village and he will stay in the Villain's residence as guest (Athidhi). Villain doesn't know that he is the guy whom he is searching and at the same time Sunil doesn't that Villain is searching for his rival's son. Villain provides all maryadhalu to Sunil.

But after some time- Villain comes to know that Sunil is the guy who he searching but he doesn't want to kill as long as he is inside his house-Villain plans to kill Sunil once he comes out of his house. as Sunil is his guest. Sunil also comes to know that Villain is trying to kill him. How Sunil comes out of Villain's hands is the story.
